WRC 9 FIA World Rally Championship (or simply WRC 9) is the official racing video game of the 2020 FIA World Rally Championship. The game is developed by French developer Kylotonn and published by Nacon (formerly BigBen) on 3 September 2020, on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch versions have been announced.
The game is very similar to its immediate predecessor, WRC 8, with new stages, and marginally improved car handling and physics. WRC 9 contains the full range of stages from WRC 8, with few changes to the single-player career mode, so it could be considered a full-price upgrade to the previous game.
Kylotonn announced an online co-operative co-driver mode, in which one player acts as the driver, while another reads the pace notes, but this mode was not available on launch, and delivered via free update afterwards.

Thoughts from an experienced sim racer
WRC 9 hit the shelves recently but what is it? Rally simulation? Rally arcade? What's it like to play on a controller rather than a steering wheel?
